The LaRue team had the pleasure of finally feeling a bit more ‘normal’ this year and attended the AIA conference on Architecture in Chicago! The highlights didn’t just include a moderated conversation with President Barack Obama but plenty of enlightening seminars and amazing architecture to discover. We did make sure to enjoy plenty of hot dogs and pizza too! We have come home to Austin incredibly inspired and truly excited to see what the rest of this year brings in design!

Our LaRue team is growing! We are so glad to announce that Braydn Voorhees has officially joined our Team. With a Masters of Architecture from Kansas Sate University and a strong passion for just the type of architecture we love to do, we are so glad to have him! Welcome, Braydn!

This month we celebrate Emily Marks Haydon as she hits her 10 year mark with LaRue Architects! Everyone who has had the pleasure of working with her has discovered her to be a talented designer and an amazingly dedicated professional that performs at the highest levels. Emily is a true leader at our firm and plays an integral part in our success! Jim, Patrick, & Emily have just returned from New York City after attending this year’s American Institute of Architects convention. They not only had a ton of fun at events and touring the city but they learned an immense amount. Jim even found Modern Architect, a book LaRue has been published in front and center at a local book store – pretty cool! They all came back to the office with a new sense of inspiration and awe. We can’t wait to implement all they’ve learned at our firm!

Jim and Kristi LaRue just returned from their Weston, Massachusetts trip visiting our amazing north eastern clients and their beautifully finished home! LaRue Architects’ Hill Country Contemporary style takes over the North!

Our crew has returned from a quick visit to New York and New Jersey! We are so thankful to have been given the opportunity (thanks to Haas Home Technologies!) to learn about all the newest AV and lighting systems from Crestron. Everyone loved touring the factory to see how it all comes together and of course, we all had a ton of fun too!

Jim has returned from his trip to Italy and it was eventfully busy to say the least! He kicked off the trip with Brombal USA to review window shop drawings for a project here in Austin. Aria Stone also gave him and wife, Kristi the opportunity to go to the Carrara Quarries and see first hand the beautiful white and blue-grey marble. After all that pasta, he is now back in the office and we’re rocking through the rest of summer!

One of our amazing clients threw a wonderful party at their newly finished home in Dallas last week and we were thrilled to show off everyone’s hard work!
