We had a wonderful and productive site visit at our Madrone Creek residence in Dripping Springs, Texas. The residence is coming along nicely and we are very excited to see this one complete!

Jim has returned from his trip to Italy and it was eventfully busy to say the least! He kicked off the trip with Brombal USA to review window shop drawings for a project here in Austin. Aria Stone also gave him and wife, Kristi the opportunity to go to the Carrara Quarries and see first hand the beautiful white and blue-grey marble. After all that pasta, he is now back in the office and we’re rocking through the rest of summer!

One of our amazing clients threw a wonderful party at their newly finished home in Dallas last week and we were thrilled to show off everyone’s hard work! We want to thank our clients and everyone who came out! It was a big success and it shows in the beautiful design of this home. Cheers to Jim and Emily! John & Richard had the opportunity to go to Florida this month with Captive Audio to learn all about Lutron and what their lighting system has to offer! They both had a lot of fun with everyone and learned all there is to know about lighting. It truly was an enlightening trip!

Jim LaRue had the opportunity to go to Arizona this month to learn about some new window products. He said that visiting manufacturing facilities in both Phoenix and Tucson were very educational and he is excited to see these new products emerge in the market!

He brings 7 years of residential experience and has previous experience in commercial and collegiate architecture. John is currently pursuing his architecture registration in the State of Texas. We are thrilled that he has joined our team!

Jim & Emily recently returned from the CRAN conference held in Santa Rosa, CA. They said that this year’s symposium was not only educational but served as another amazing opportunity to connect with others in the industry. Jim & Emily enjoyed various seminars and learning from guest speaker presentations which they said were very enlightening. The exchange of ideas at these sorts of conferences is essential to the growth of our team and we very much look forward to the next one!

Our Project Manager, Patrick Mobley had the honor of being invited to tour the Kolbe Windows & Doors factory in Wausau, WI. He enjoyed seeing first-hand how their products are made from start to finish. Patrick said the whole experience was a lot of fun and is excited to implement his new window and door knowledge into his next project!

We are excited to welcome our newest LaRue team member, Richard Medina! He will be our Interior Designer liaison and brings along 3 years of freelance interior decorating experience as well as 2 years of residential design experience. Richard is an associate AIA member and is currently pursing LEED certification. We are very excited to have him!

Check out the panel for the ‘Publish and Prosper’ presentation at the TSA this past weekend having a meeting before they begin. Jim was honored to be apart of the panel and said he found the experience very rewarding. We all are excited to see him on more panels in the future! The rest of the LaRue team not only had fun but found the convention advantageous and valuable. We all look forward to next year!

The Architects at LaRue head to Dallas for the Texas Society of Architects convention from November 5-7! We are all excited to have Jim LaRue as a panelist at the convention on Saturday, November 7 at 1:15pm for the ‘Publish and Prosper in Residential Publications’ presentation. The panel will discuss the current publishing world and how best to promote your residential design work online and in print. Jim will touch on his experience with publishing over the past 26 years while building his company.
